#StopTheVirus: Join Sen. Hughes, Sheryl Lee Ralph-Hughes’ May Day Challenge

Get a mask, get the test, get the vaccine; We are in this together!

#StopTheVirus

Sheryl and I announced our #StopTheVirus campaign Thursday morning, with the goal of getting out information about the COVID-19 vaccine and explaining how it will help get us to a new normal. We are in this together and it will take all of us doing our part to help stop the virus.

Our message is simple: Get a mask, get the test, get the vaccine.

It’s a part of our May Day Challenge. We want everyone to mask up, get tested and get the vaccine by May 1. For those who do not qualify for vaccination just yet, you can visit my website for more information about the process or to pre-register to be vaccinated.

Do you want to go back to your favorite bar, see a concert, or gather in large groups? Well, we need everyone to get a mask, get the test and get the vaccine. Doing those three things will have a tremendous impact on protecting public health and eliminating the virus.

By this point, you probably have heard or read about how Black and brown people are disproportionately affected by the coronavirus in our region and across the U.S. Our campaign is also focusing on community efforts and connecting people with trusted messengers who can help explain the process and address any wariness about taking the vaccine.

Stay tuned for more from Sheryl, myself and some of our friends around the region and beyond. Visit senatorhughes.com/coronavirus for the latest information on COVID-19 vaccine and find out how you can help #StopTheVirus.
