I am deeply saddened by the loss of life yesterday at Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh. My thoughts and prayers are with the families of the 11 people killed, as well as the six others wounded in the hateful attack.
Thank you to law enforcement officers, first responders and those who are working to help with healing in the wake of this tragedy. We must come together and support Pittsburgh’s Jewish community and stand with our fellow Pennsylvanians to work through this horrific attack.
The cowardly, terroristic acts of a man with a history of making anti-Semitic statements are a reminder of why we must continue to fight against hateful rhetoric to prevent violent actors from carrying out their evil ideals. We must stand as one and make it clear that holding hateful beliefs, whether anti-Semitic or otherwise, has no place the commonwealth.
