The topic of toxic schools has dominated the headlines in the recent weeks, months and years.
The School District of Philadelphia recently approved $500 million in borrowing for construction and other renovations—but that isn’t nearly enough. This is a $6 billion problem. That is why I am holding a call to action with my fellow legislators, advocates, activists and concerned citizens like you all who are reading this message. Here are the details on the event:

Toxic schools are hurting our people and we cannot allow this to continue. We must stand together and call for action, whether that is adopting existing policy solutions or looking for new and innovative ways to fund cleanups, remediation, and new school buildings. This is a public health crisis that cannot be allowed to continue.
PLEASE JOIN ME AT 11 A.M. FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 22.
We must get this done!
