Must Stop No Health Care/TrumpCare Bill

Far-right members of Congress are at it again. The U.S. Senate majority are working to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act and a vote could come as soon as next week.

The new “Cassidy-Graham Bill” would slash federal spending on health care and puts state-level funding at serious risk. Medicaid recipients — some of our most vulnerable citizens — would be the biggest losers.

In fact, if the Cassidy-Graham Bill becomes law, by 2027, here’s what would happen in Pennsylvania:

1 million Pennsylvanians would lose health coverage
Pennsylvania would lose $8.2 billion in federal funding
The average annual premium would increase $4,700
Uncompensated care costs would increase by almost $1 billion

Call your U.S. Senator TODAY and tell them to oppose this terrible Cassidy-Graham bill, which will hurt Pennsylvanians.

The new Obamacare repeal bill is the worst yet for women’s health

Republicans’ latest effort to repeal Obamacare may look a little different from previous attempts — sponsors argue, for instance, that the plan lets states keep Obamacare if they want to. But when it comes to reproductive health care, the bill sponsored by Sens. Bill Cassidy (R-LA) and Lindsey Graham (R-SC) is a lot like previous repeal bills, except in areas where it’s much harsher.

Like previous bills, Graham-Cassidy imposes new restrictions that would make it harder for people to get insurance coverage for abortion, and for low-income patients to visit Planned Parenthood. Also like the other bills, it threatens Medicaid coverage and makes it easier for states to get rid of maternity care requirements.
