It is with profound pride and admiration that we recognize you as one of this year’s honorees for the “Mean Making a Difference” celebration, presented in partnership with the Urban League of Philadelphia.
This special recognition honors your unwavering commitment to justice, community empowerment, and the enduring legacy of one of our most iconic leaders—El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz, Malcolm X. You are one of 100 outstanding men being celebrated this year, representing a diverse group of leaders from all walks of life and across generations, each making meaningful contributions to their communities.
This year’s event is especially significant as we commemorate what would have been the 100th birthday of Malcolm X. As we reflect on his powerful legacy, we also shine a light on modern-day changemakers—like you—who continue to advance his vision of equity, self-determination, and collective progress.
We are honored to welcome acclaimed journalist Roland Martin as our keynote speaker. We look forward to the insight, truth, and challenge he will offer as we celebrate this moment together.
To each honoree: thank you for making a difference. Your leadership is needed, valued, and celebrated.
