The updated Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form is now available!

The FAFSA has recently undergone changes that make it easier for students and families to receive financial aid. The 2024-25 form expands eligibility for federal student aid, including Pell Grants, and streamlines questions for applicants. Thanks to these changes, 610,000 new low-income students will be eligible for Pell Grants.

Some important changes to note:

  • The updated FAFSA changes require that each application contributor create a StudentAid.gov account.
  • Additionally, all contributors must consent to have their tax information transferred to the application via the IRS Data Exchange.
  • Students can now list up to 20 colleges on the online FAFSA form (10 on the FAFSA PDF).
  • All users can now start or access the FAFSA form by visiting StudentAid.gov and logging into their account dashboard.
