$200 million in grants will be available with $100 million dedicated for Historically Disadvantaged Businesses

Grants for Small Businesses Impacted by COVID-19

Alongside my colleagues in the Pennsylvania Senate Democratic Caucus, I fought to get $225 million in aid for small businesses affected by the pandemic. That relief for small businesses across Pennsylvania is coming soon through the COVID-19 Relief Statewide Small Business Assistance Program.

We understand people are going through hell right now. The years of hard work people have put into their businesses has been undone by a few months of a pandemic. There hasn’t been much help for our neighborhood businesses, our local shops, our barbers and beauticians, our mom-and-pop shops, and so many more of our community pillars hit hardest by this pandemic — until now.

We have carved out $100 million for small businesses across Pennsylvania and $100 million to historically disadvantaged businesses in the commonwealth.

The most important thing to do right now is get prepared so everything is ready to when the applications go live. You can read more about the guidelines and program requirements here.
