HARRISBURG, Septiembre 13, 2012 –State Sen. Vincent Hughes will join with the West Philadelphia Financial Services Institution (WPFSI) to host his financial Empowerment Summit, Show Me All the Money, which aims to assist families in navigating these tough economic times.

The event will be held on Sábado, Septiembre 29 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, located at 4010 City Ave, Philadelphia, PA.

“With the financial downturn continuing to hit families hard and the lack of family-sustaining, long term jobs in Pennsylvania, this financial empowerment summit is designed to answer the most pressing questions constituents have about their personal finances and the overall economy,” Hughes said.  “Providing strategies and real resources that help families focus on their financial health is critical during these times.”

Workshops featured at the event will include information on how to start and grow a business, how to ward off foreclosure, how to build wealth, how to maintain personal finances and more.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to get onsite assistance with their utilities bills in the crisis center at the event.  Those who wish to use the crisis center services should bring their utility bills, photo ID and income verification.

“There is real help available to folks struggling to maintain, repair and build their finances,” Hughes said.  “This summit gathers a number of resources in one event.  I encourage everyone to attend this event, no matter your financial status.”
