September 21, 2026 – Senator Vincent Hughes, Senate Democratic Appropriations Chair, announced more than $13.3 million in funding for Philadelphia and Montgomery County to strengthen victim services and provide critical support to individuals and families impacted by violence and crime.
The grants were awarded by the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD) through the Federal Victims of Crime Act (VOCA).
“These dollars are going to organizations that show up for people during some of the hardest moments of their lives,” said Senator Hughes. “This funding helps make sure our neighbors have somewhere to turn for safety, support and a path forward.”
The funding will support organizations providing domestic and sexual violence services, trauma care, legal assistance, child advocacy, support for homicide survivors, immigrant victim services and other critical resources.
The following projects in the 7th Senatorial District received funding:
