Philadelphia, PA − Mayo 24, 2019 − Pennsylvania must have an accurate census count in 2020, which is I support the request of Gov. Tom Wolf’s Census 2020 Complete Count Commission. Billions of dollars in federal funding in areas such as education, infrastructure, business development and more are at stake in next year’s census. An investment of $1 per person residing in the commonwealth will help ensure Pennsylvania accurately counts its residents and receives the appropriate representation on the federal level, as well as federal funding to run critical services and programs. We cannot allow Pennsylvania’s population to be undercounted in 2020 for the sake of our future in the next decade.
