Celebrating Investments in PA State-Related Universities with the Lincoln U Freedom 14

Senator Hughes joined Governor Shapiro, Senator Carolyn Comitta, Rep. Jordan Harris, and other lawmakers at Lincoln University for the signing of legislation for state-related university funding.

The lawmakers celebrated 14 Lincoln students– the Freedom 14– who marched 66 miles to Harrisburg to call for the bill to finally be passed.

“With that 66-mile walk, Lincoln U students did what for 169 years, they have always done, LEAD. They lead with purposeful action. With this bill signing on this campus of great history, we recognize that leadership, and ask for others to emulate it in the future.”
