Did you know 1.1 million people in the U.S. live with HIV? Data has found that 15 percent of those people don’t even know they’re infected with the deadly disease. That’s why Senator Hughes and his wife, Sheryl Lee Ralph-Hughes, want you to get tested and know your status.

This nation is seeing fewer infections than in years past, but the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found more than 38,000 Americans were infected with HIV in 2016.  We need people to get tested and know their status so that we can prevent the spread of this deadly affliction that continues to disproportionately plague the black community.
