Leer para triunfar

Once again, Senator Vincent Hughes will be hosting the annual Summer Reads: Read to SucceedProgram. This year, he’ll be doing it alongside the City of Philadelphia and Philadelphia READS, a non-profit organization dedicated to “raising a city of readers.”

Parents can register their children now at read2succedephiladelhipa.com/register or by calling 215.279.7450 ext. 202.

The Summer Reads: Read to Succeed program’s mission is to combat the estimated one month of instruction lost by students during this during summer vacation aka the summer slide.

All students will also receive a complimentary breakfast and lunch, and will receive a free eye exam courtesy of Wills Eye Hospital and two pairs of free glasses, if needed.

The program will run from Junio 25th to Julio 19th at the following schools for students:

  • Alain Locke
  • F.S Edmonds
  • James Dobson
