Philadelphia has a strong history with the legacy of jazz and is home to many great jazz legends. Musicians like Lee Morgan, John Coltrane, and Butch Ballard all have strong connections to city of Philadelphia and West Philadelphia in particular.

Senator Hughes recently spent time with fellow jazz lovers around the district to honor the history of some of Philadelphia’s jazz legends and landmarks.
