Senator Hughes is bringing his transformative BREAKING THE SILENCE mental health series to a neighborhood near you!
Starting THIS THURSDAY a free 4-week series called 2019 Breaking The Silence: Trauma in our Community – Toxic Stress Series | Sex, Death & Money will be held at four different locations in the city’s Overbrook, Mantua, Strawberry Mansion and Carrol Park neighborhoods.
Did you know that nearly 7 million African-American people were diagnosed with a mental illness in the last year? That’s more than the entire populations of Chicago, Houston and Philadelphia combined!
This impactful series will cover the three main life cycles, teen & youth, mid-life and seniors, all ages are welcome to come and ask questions, hear from experienced professionals and get the help they need.
Once again, it’s time to break the silence and shatter the stigma about this serious issue affecting our community.
