HARRISBURG, November 4, 2010 – State Sen. Vincent Hughes (D-Phila/Montgomery)will soon host a “Show Me All the Money – Personal Finance Conference” aimed at helping individuals learn to maintain, manage and maximize their financial well being during tough economic times.

“Our nation’s current economic landscape is posing tremendous challenges for families and communities alike,” Hughes said. “Providing strategies and real resources that help families focus on their financial health during these times is critical.”

The summit and workshop is scheduled for Saturday, November 13 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Philadelphia Hilton, 4200 City Ave., Philadelphia.

Hughes and the Urban Affairs Coalition are teaming up on the event to provide a wide array of resources to assist participants in every area of their personal finances and family affairs.

“These are difficult times,” Hughes said. “That is why it is important for you and your family to be prepared. Protect yourself and your assets, and most importantly plan for the short and long term.”
