1 week to go, return your ballot today

Time is running out to get your mail ballot returned on time

PA CARES

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: It’s voting time!

More than 3 million Pennsylvania voters applied for mail ballots and we need every one of those ballots to be returned properly and counted. Mail ballots must be returned by election day, so I encourage you to return your ballot as soon as possible to avoid any processing delays.

I am joining Gov. Tom Wolf and Secretary Kathy Boockvar, who encouraged voters to return their mail ballots immediately, in the call to return completed ballots to satellite election offices, county election offices or secure drop boxes. The United States Postal Service says ballots mailed after Tuesday, Oct. 27 may not make it in time to meet state guidelines, which is another reason to return the ballots early at a satellite election office, county election office or secure drop box.

You can also access information about satellite election offices, secure drop boxes and other election-related info at senatorhughes.com. The information at that site comes directly from trusted messengers from the department of state, as well as commissioners on the city and county level.

REMINDER: If you’re going to the grocery store, a satellite election center or to the polls on Nov. 3, we need you to wear a mask. It protects you from the coronavirus, as well as those who you may come in contact with while away from home. That is the best thing we can do to protect public health and to slow the spread of the virus.
