Shame! Health Care Repeal Effort Moves Forward
Today, the U.S. Senate very narrowly voted to move forward with efforts to dismantle the Affordable Care Act. In fact, it was a 50-50 vote, and the vice president cast the tie-breaking vote.
As soon as next week, the Senate may vote to either repeal the Affordable Care Act, or repeal it and replace it with the Republicans’ so-called the Better Care Reconciliation Act.
A flat-out repeal of the Affordable Care Act will result in 32 million Americans losing their health insurance. The Republican repeal-and-replace plan will lead to 22 million Americans losing their health coverage.
If these efforts are successful, the consequences will be immediate and devastating.
While these sickening efforts are moving quickly, there is still time for your voice to be heard!
Now is the time to turn your anger into action. Call our senators TODAY and let them know that this latest attempt to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act will be devastating to millions of Americans.
