Pa Breast Cancer Coalition to Offer Free Seminar
I am pleased to announce that the PA Breast Cancer Coalition will offer a FREE SEMINAR on the Commonwealth of PA’s Breast & Cervical Cancer Prevention and Treatment Program.
In 2001, the Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition (PBCC) convinced the state government to extend Medicaid coverage to uninsured women in need of breast and cervical cancer treatment. This program entitles qualified women to immediate FREE treatment paid for through Medicaid and guarantees coverage to women of their full treatment costs through Medicaid.
The seminar will be held Tuesday, October 13 at the Harrisburg Hilton from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. The seminar will be held in the Metro Rooms, Hilton 2nd floor, One North Second Street, Harrisburg, PA 17101.
It is important that Pennsylvania women and their families know about this valuable service. Too many women have been denied the treatment they deserve because they and their doctors are unaware of this free service. As leaders in health care advocacy, the PBCC is joining with the PA Department of Health, the PA Department of Public Welfare and the PA Health Law Project to spread the word about this service.
It is important that we all spread the word about this free service - to our mothers, daughters, sisters, aunts, and friends. Too many women are missing out on coverage they are entitled to.
