to Help Families During the Holiday
PHILADELPHIA, November 23, 2009 – State Sen. Vincent Hughes (D-Phila.) and the Brown Family ShopRite will partner to help 100 families purchase food for the Thanksgiving holiday. Sen. Hughes, actress/activist wife Sheryl Lee Ralph, Brown Family members, and staff will welcome families on Tuesday morning, Nov. 24, at 10 a.m., at Brown Family ShopRite in the Park West Town Shopping Plaza, 1575 N. 52nd St. (52nd & Jefferson streets) In previous years, eligible families received food baskets. This is the second year that families will enjoy the opportunity to select their own menu with special grocery gift cards.
