Hughes to Promote Understanding of Major Health Care Proposal

PHILADELPHIA, January 24, 2008 - State Sen. Vincent Hughes (D-Phila) will host a telephone briefing for news media representatives regarding Governor Ed Rendell’s Cover All Pennsylvanians (CAP) health care initiative on Friday, January 25 at 12:00 noon.

Members of the media are invited to dialogue with Senator Hughes to gain a deeper understanding of the CAP proposal, which aims to provide all uninsured Pennsylvanians – who are overwhelmingly the working middle class - access to affordable health care coverage.  CAP’s primary focus is the people and small businesses that need the most help in paying for health insurance.
