Help Available to Understand Health Insurance Options
DO YOU WANT LOW-COST HEALTH INSURANCE FOR YOUR FAMILY?
The new Health Insurance Marketplace is now open! Americans now have a whole new way to shop for health insurance. For the first time in history, consumers in every state can go online to one place to check out their coverage options, get accurate information in easy-to-understand language, and make clear comparisons of plans before they make their decision.
Beginning on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 a Navigator from Resources for Human Development will be here from 12-5PM to help you learn more about the Health Insurance Marketplace and complete an application on site at the Offices of State Senator Vincent Hughes, 4950 Parkside Ave, Philadelphia PA 19131. Suite 300.
Appointments are preferred, but walk-ins are accepted. To schedule an appointment,

If you would like to apply for the Marketplace please bring the following:
- Social Security Number and date of birth for everyone in your household
- If there is no Social Security number, please bring your immigration paperwork
- Federal Income Tax forms including W-2 or 1099
**You do not need to have filed a tax form before to enroll.
- An estimation of your household income from all sources
**If a consumer or documented household member has additional insurance coverage s/he should bring the name of the Insurer (Company issuing the policy) and the Policy Number.

1. Apply - Healthcare.gov
Go online to HealthCare.gov and learn what information you need. Visit HealthCare.gov to get a checklist to help you gather the information you’ll need. You’ll enter information about you and your family, including your income, household size, and more.
2. Pick a Plan - There are over 50 plans to choose from
Next you’ll see all the plans and programs you’re eligible for and compare them side-by-side. You’ll also find out if you can get lower costs on monthly premiums and out of pocket costs.
3. Enroll - 1-800-318-2596
Choose a plan that meets your needs and enroll! Coverage may start as soon as January 1, 2014.
Please call 1-800-318-2596 for 24-hour assistance on enrolling in the insurance marketplace. Help is available in more than 250 languages.
