So
many people in this commonwealth are
living in very difficult circumstances.
Just about every county is at or near
10% unemployment. We are seeing
skyrocketing rates of foreclosures, lack
of healthcare and people living on the
margin.
We have means to match the cry from the
people in this state with the resources
that could not only help them, but
potentially make us all stronger.. We
cannot overlook the opportunities to
draw these dollars in and to not upset
the applecart of the economic conditions
of this commonwealth. We need to go get
those resources. We need to close the
Delaware Loophole, we need to address
Marcellus Shale, and we need to address
the issue of other tobacco products.
Hopefully, as we move towards closure of
the budget crisis we are in, and there
is no question about it that there is a
budget crisis, we will reach to the best
in us and make sure we put the people
first and respond to their needs.
