Black women make up the majority of new HIV/Aids cases in the country and represent 74% of Aids cases in Philadelphia.

Aids is the #1 cause of death for black women ages 25-44, beating out heart disease, cancer and homocide.

An estimated 40 million people worldwide are living with AIDS.

25 million people have died from AIDS, compared to an estimated 23 million who died from the Black Plague during the 14th century and 20 million who died from the flu epidemic in 1918.
